Johnny Depp x Amber Heard: Notebook with trial notes to be auctioned

by

The trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues to yield in the international press. A week after the verdict in the defamation lawsuit won by the actor over his ex-wife, an American named Larry Foreman decided to auction a notebook with all the details of the legal battle, which he witnessed in the Fairfax County Courthouse, in Virginia, United States. .

Foreman wrote down all the remarks he made about the trial for memory. But the 20 written pages resulted in a document, called by his friends “historical”, and he decided to auction it off. The notes report the events in the sessions held between the 23rd and 26th day of the ex-couple’s trial. In addition to what was said in court, Larry also showed what was happening behind the scenes, such as the jurors’ reactions to each deposition.

The notebook’s initial bid at auction is US$14,500, a little over R$70,000 at the current price. Foreman told TMZ that he intends to donate to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, all proceeds from the sale of the notebook.

It is worth remembering that Amber Heard was ordered to pay compensation of 15 million dollars, approximately R$ 73 million, to her ex-husband. Several days into the trial, the jury concluded that the actress had defamed Johnny Depp by reporting in an article published in The Washington Post about domestic violence. She did not mention the actor’s name, but Depp claimed that he would have been the target of the publication. The jurors also understood that he also defamed the actress and, therefore, had to pay a compensation of 2 million dollars, about R$ 9.5 million.
