Speaking to Empire magazine, Burton revealed that he has not yet seen Matt Reeves’ “The Batman”
The American director expressed his bitterness that he was forced to leave the successful Batman movie franchise, which he established Tim Burton.
The well-known director finds it “funny” to see the movie franchise with Batman becoming darker and darker, after “The Batman” by Matt Reeves which was a huge success at the box office, when the dark tone he had given to Bat Man in his two films forced him to leave the franchise after the 1992 “Batman Returns”.
Speaking to the magazine Empire, Burton reveals he has not seen “The Batman” yet [ «Θα ήθελα να το δω» διευκρίνισε] but added, “It’s funny to see that now “(the ‘dark’ Batman), because all these ‘It’s very dark’ memories come, and that makes me laugh a little.”
Burton’s “Batman Returns” met with some resistance from Warner Bros.’s studio due to its dark tone, and the studio did not want to continue with a third Burton film.
