Lewis Hamilton in Lula’s shirt? Viral image on social media is fake

by

An image (see below) of British driver Lewis Hamilton, 37, wearing a white shirt and the face of former President Lula stamped on it has gone viral on social media. In the photo, he poses in front of a mirror and suggests that he would vote for the now presidential candidate.

However, in a not so long search through the pilot’s social networks, it is already possible to notice that the image is fake. He never posed in a shirt with the politician’s face. In reality, he wore a white t-shirt with some marks stamped on it.

However, on Twitter it was not difficult to see the public divided between those who believed in the image and those who already knew it was a montage. There were also those who criticized him for what would be his political taste and those who praised him.

Last Thursday (9), the Chamber of Deputies enacted a resolution that gives British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton the title of honorary citizen of Brazil. There is still no date for the formal session.

The proposal was presented by deputy André Figueiredo (PDT-CE). She received a favorable opinion from the rapporteur in plenary, deputy Jhonatan de Jesus (Republicans-RR).

Among the justifications, that in a race at Interlagos in November 2021, Hamilton paid tribute to Ayrton Senna (1960-1994) by carrying the flag as the Brazilian did.
