Britney Spears denies inviting her brother to marriage: ‘He was never invited’

Singer Britney Spears, 40, commented on the guest list for her wedding to dancer Sam Asghari, 28. The pop princess revealed in an Instagram post that she did not invite her brother, Bryan Spears, 45, to the ceremony.

In the lengthy caption, she quoted Bryan and said, “Your podcast interview was so special [emoji revirando os olhos]! Her response was ‘she can’t even make a dinner reservation,'” she wrote. Fans and netizens associated the phrase with Britney’s brother’s 2020 appearance on the As Not Seen on TV Podcast.

“I know what she wants, but at the end of the day what is the reality of it?”, he said at the time of the artist’s tutelage, which would end more than a year later. “What you said there to that man in that interview said it all Bryan! You were never invited to my wedding so why answer?” Britney continued in the later deleted post.

The singer’s message came after Bryan’s girlfriend, Amber Lynn Conklin, said he didn’t attend the wedding because it was her 11-year-old daughter’s high school graduation. Conklin said Bryan “felt terrible having to choose but had to be there for his daughter and sent his love to Britney x1000000”.

Britney and Asghari held a ceremony for around 60 guests. Among them, names like Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Madonna and Paris Hilton drew attention. The party took place last Thursday (9).

The singer also did not invite her mother and sister to the celebration. Her father Jamie Spears was also left out of the wedding ceremony. The decision not to invite family members comes after the dispute over her guardianship, which ended in November 2021, after more than a decade.

According to sources told People magazine, the singer walked alone to the altar. “She looked absolutely stunning in her main dress. She cried tears of happiness at times.” The singer’s children Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, were also absent from the ceremony.
