Presenter and comedian Marcos Mion, 42, was on the program Encontro com Fátima Bernardes (Globo) on the morning of this Wednesday (15) and commented on the cuts in health plans and the tax role, and how this can influence the lives of people on the autistic spectrum and everyone who uses health insurance.
“[Isso atinge] basically anyone who uses the health plan”, began the presenter. He had already been commenting on the subject on his networks, and showing the damage that the decision would bring. “It’s revolting, that’s the word that defines it. I can think of no ethically or humanly acceptable reason to vote in favor of the tax roll.”
The taxing list basically consists of a list that determines what health plans and insurance companies can cover or not, this involves from therapies to even surgeries and treatments. “It was already a very difficult fight. Now we think it’s impossible. The role gave the opportunity”, he added.
Mion, who has a son on the autistic spectrum, pointed out that for autistic families the role is extremely harmful. “It’s despair. For the autistic to evolve, he needs therapies and they have to be constant. The struggle of the child within the autistic spectrum, depending on the degree, is constant. When you take that away, you are taking away the right of this child to exist in society.”
He also points out that it is good to know the names of the senators who voted in favor of the exhaustive list, to know the opinion of politicians on the decision. “It was voted on by people, and it could have been avoided,” said the comedian.
