Paul Walker to get star on the Walk of Fame 10 years after his death

Paul Walker (1973-2013) will earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. The date marks the tenth anniversary of the death of the actor, who was one of the stars of the “Fast and Furious” franchise and died at age 40 in a car accident.

The news was announced on Friday (17) and celebrated by the actor’s daughter, Meadow Walker, on social media. “Congratulations Daddy,” she wrote. “I know your younger self would never believe it! I also know you’re looking down with your infectious smile, feeling embarrassed and grateful. You’ve earned this and deserve this and more. I love you!”

In addition to Walker, 23 other personalities will be honored. Among them are names like Uma Thurman, Mindy Kaling, Ralph Macchio, Ellen Pompeo, Vince Vaughn, Ludacris, Jonas Brothers and Lenny Kravitz.

In addition to the character Brian O’Conner in “The Fast and the Furious”, Walker has participated in more than 40 productions in almost 30 years of career in TV and film. Among the films he starred in are “Persecution”, “Tight Marking”, “She’s Awesome” and “Secret Society”.

ACCIDENT

The actor died after a car accident in North Los Angeles, United States, on November 30, 2013. He was in the passenger seat of a Porsche when the vehicle crashed into a tree and a pole and exploded.

The vehicle was found on fire, and when firefighters managed to put out the fire, they found both occupants dead. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, speed was a factor in the accident. Near the crash site, burnt rubber marks were found on the asphalt forming the number 8.

Walker and the driver were on site for a Reach Out Worldwide charity event in the Valencia community of Santa Clarita, about 30 kilometers north of Hollywood. The organization’s website said at the time that the meeting was intended to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
