Mauro Machado, the father of singer Anitta, 29, was hospitalized again after contracting the Covid-19 virus. The businessman returns to the hospital after being discharged for suffering a stroke and having undergone lung surgery to remove a cancer that he discovered during tests.
“Back to the hospital. After being 80% well recovered, Covid decided to visit me. But I don’t know how many days hospitalized. Isolated. For those who operated on the lung, this virus is a danger”, wrote Painitto – as it is called by the fans of the singer–, in her Instagram Stories.
He thanked Dr Ludhmila Hajjar, one of the biggest references during the Covid-19 pandemic. “I’m glad I have Dr. Ludhmila.” He has already been under the care of the cardiologist the other times he was hospitalized.
Mauro operated on his lung to remove the cancer on June 5, and at the time, he explained that he had been out of breath and tired for months. After a series of tests and a peak in blood pressure, which led to a stroke (Cerebral Vascular Accident), lung cancer was identified.
The next day, Anitta even commented on the surgery on her Twitter. “Night of much prayer. After the first phase was exactly as the doctors needed it to be, my father asked me to send this photo thanking the prayer network you all made yesterday,” she wrote at the time.
