Singer and digital influencer MC Loma, 19, vented on her Instagram after being asked whether or not she will show her daughter Melanie’s face when the baby is born. To the sadness of her fans, the artist said no and explained the reasons.
“I won’t show Melanie, I’m sure. I don’t know, when she’s a few months or years old. But I won’t show her. I’m very humiliated here on my Instagram, oddly enough. I get about fifty messages a day from people asking for me to kill myself, wishing my death”, he began.
Loma said that he receives a lot of name-calling and that the criticism and malicious comments are not new. “Since I started on the internet, I receive this. Sometimes I don’t even want to appear here because of it, I have this trauma. I don’t want my daughter to go through this, I don’t want to expose a baby, which is such a pure and innocent here, for people to humiliate,” he added.
The singer, owner of the hit “Envolvimento”, also said that she does not want her daughter to go through the same traumas as her. “[Não vou mostrar] for her to receive so much free hate on the internet and when she grows up she will hate me. I don’t want to fail as a mother, I don’t want to take this trauma to my daughter. It’s enough for me,” she continued.
She went on to say that she is afraid, and even her daughter has received hateful messages. “I’ve had messages, as soon as I found out I was pregnant, from people wishing Melanie dead,” she recalled. She also commented that she understands that many fans are rooting for her, but out of fear, she decided not to show the baby.
The singer announced her pregnancy in mid-February this year. She stated that the pregnancy was not planned and is the result of a casual relationship. Despite the initial scare, the singer said that she is very happy.
