Arthur Aguiar, 33, the winner of the BBB 22 (Globo), told fans that the surgery he underwent this Thursday (23) was successful. “It worked,” he said in a video on social media.
In the hospital bed, he explained that he was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, thanked the fans for their support and said that he would be back home soon.
Earlier this month, the actor announced that he would postpone his tour debut to undergo surgery to correct an inguinal hernia. He said that he had this condition since before joining the reality show, in January, but that it has worsened in recent times because of the “hectic routine and physical efforts, outside and inside the house”.
“I started rehearsing and, since then, she has been getting worse, progressively!”, he reported.
Arthur promised to share with fans every phase of his recovery. Upon arriving at the hospital, he revealed to be nervous and tense for being afraid of general anesthesia. “But I have to, it’s not optional,” he said.
He asked for prayers, said that he is going through difficult times and spoke about the “nonsense” he reads about him. According to Arthur, some people doubted that he would actually need to undergo the surgery. “Things that have no place. This drains energy, this is tiring, this is boring. I feel in the game of eternal discord”, he said, referring to one of the dynamics of the BBB.
The artist even postponed the surgery on two occasions. “I already knew I had this condition and needed to operate, I chose to enter the program and operate later,” he said. “When I left Big Brother my tour was scheduled and once again I postponed the surgery.”
With the worsening of health conditions, the doctor who attends Arthur asked for the operation to take place before the musical tour because a complication could make the condition more serious due to the efforts required.
