James and Diallo’s Monaco took the SEF derbara and “landed” Olympiacos abruptly

In a terrific game of tension, passion, dramatic finale and plenty of… aroma of playoffs, the “red and white” lost in the details with a score 92-87 from the team of Vassilis Spanoulis for the 7th matchday of the Euroleague and fell to 4-3.

With the “red and white” at -10 in the middle of the last period, o Tyler Dorsey with a magical appearance and 15 points in the fourth quarter, fought for a legendary upset, however, the Monegasques with their Mike James and Alpha Diallo in an amazing night, got the pink card.

It was characteristic that the Piraeus in the last seconds – before the match was decided in the roulette of shots – they had two chances to tie the game with four-pointers by Fournier and Ward. Olympiacos-Monaco:

The scene was quite different in third quarter, since both teams have dramatically improved their image on the front of the court. With him Nikola Milutinov to dominate the… airwaves and score 10 of Olympiakos’ 13 points (!), the home team maintained – even marginally – the lead (51-49) in the 25th minute, the moment when for Monaco James and Diallo were carrying aggressively.

Olympiacos-Monaco:

In fact, the experienced American guard… then caught fire and with 8 points and two assists, he led the Principality’s team on a 15-3 run for +10 of the visitors and 64-54 in the 29th minute. Despite the shock, the Piraeus gathered the situation with two points by Vezenkov and two long mid-range shots by Dorsey, reducing to 64-60 in the quarter.

The derby continued in fourth and final periodwhere Monaco found big threes with Strazel and Okobo, with Hall responding with three impressive nails for 66-72 in the 33rd minute. Despite the points of Dorsey and Ward, the Monegasques found a way to keep the upper hand in the score and with Diallo and James they even went to +9 and 79-70 at 36′.

A minute later, the guests reached +10 (74-84), showing that they were clearing the match. But Dorsey (15 points in the quarter!) took it upon himself and with six points, Olympiacos cut to 86-84 and 89-86 in the last 15 seconds. There, the “red and whites” had two chances with Fournier and Ward’s three-pointers to tie the game, but both missed. Somehow the game was decided in the shootout, with Monaco taking the win with the final 92-87.

The quarters: 20-16, 38-37, 60-64, 87-92.
