With his most optimistic and insightful text Fyodor Dostoyevsky“The Dream of a Ridiculous” are addressed this time by Efi Birba and Aris Servetalis.
Our hero finds no interest in anything, he does not believe in anything, he does not expect anything. His gaze is fixed on a star. He knew that night the operation would be carried out. And surely he would have been killed if it were not for that little girl… That night he saw the dream that revealed to him the truth, the dream that became the harbinger of a new life, renewed… is it confused?
“The Dream of a Ridiculous”, a peculiar hilarious tragedy, a fictional narrative – masterpiece of the Russian teacher of human psychology, guides us in the history of mankind, from the prototypical state of innocence to the absolute humiliation of human nature. The ridiculous man makes us sharers of the story and characters of the story, we become spectators and characters of the play at the same time.
A dream causes a person to change forever.
Aris Servetalis under the guidance of Efi Birba takes us on a tour of the world of Dostoevsky’s Ridicule, leading us to the depths of his thoughts, between real and imaginary, truth and illusion, visible and invisible, comic and tragic, ridiculous and salutary.
