Being disorganized significantly burdens your mental health and not only we say it, but also research.
There is definitely one in your family or in your circle organizational typewhich has it all in order and in class. And you certainly think to yourself that it may not go very well and that it has lost a little.
Such a thing could have happened, if this organization had been persistent, like Detective Monk. The most probable scenario, however, is that you are the disorganized type, who sees the organizational as perfectionist and excessive.
Unfortunately, this time all the evidence is against you. And this is because, whatever theory we came up with to justify it disorganization and the clutter that prevails both in your space and in your head, there has always been controversy and even scientific.
The proofs
So according to me surveysbeing disorganized, commonly loose, makes your daily life difficult, but also burdens your mental health.
Not being able to have a basic order in your life and thoughts is something that undoubtedly causes stress, both to you and to those around you. Think, for example, of having a group presentation at your company and not having contact.
To have lost them, to seek to find your notes, to be late, etc.
Think about how stressful this situation is, because you failed to set a schedule.
But beyond that, research has shown that the natural environment, your home or workplace, that is, interacts with your psychology. A cluttered space can and does affect your mood, emotions, and even your relationships. In other words, the negative energy that exudes, such a space has a negative effect on your psychology. And not only.
Another study showed that disorganization even affects your cognitive function. It significantly reduces the ability to concentrate, and therefore can negatively affect your performance and productivity.
You are slowly losing your functionality as an intelligent person and you can not accomplish even the simplest.
Of course, we are not saying to go to the opposite extreme. In other words, to waste endless hours organizing. Because this case is not normal either. We just suggest you put in order, do some basic planning, without going crazy.
The way
There are three basic steps that will help you get out of this maze and get organized.
1. Equip yourself with the essentials.
You can invest a little money in a long-term investment, which will help you put in order. An organizer to remind you what and when you have to do something, a bulletin board so you do not forget the important ones, are the basics to organize your time and obligations.
On the other hand, you have to take care of your space. Transparent boxes to arrange your things, a drawer and everything else that suits your taste and needs, are available everywhere. You will find them in whatever size, color, shape and price you can imagine.
2. Clear.
Spend a few days cleaning and scrapping. You do not need to fall on your face. Choose one day to go to the kitchen, another to your bedroom and closet, a third to your office and so on.
The key is to finish and not leave the clarification in the middle. It is also important to be honest with yourself and not to keep useless things, because the garbage will be collected again.
3. Be consistent.
The third and perhaps most important thing is to stay consistent and stick to your schedule.
You have to stay true to your decision to put some organization in your life. and part of that decision is to abide by it.
Remember the tantra “tidy house, tidy mind” and everything will go well and organized.
