Musician Travis Barker, 45, husband of Kourtney Kardashian, 43, spoke this Saturday (2) for the first time about hospitalization after performing an endoscopy. He said he had severe, life-threatening pancreatitis but is doing better after intensive treatment.
“I went in for an endoscopy on Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,” the Blink 182 drummer revealed in his Instagram stories.
Barker said he had a “small polyp” removed in a “very sensitive area handled by specialists, but unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube, resulting in severe pancreatitis.
“This resulted in serious life threatening pancreatitis. I am so grateful that with intensive care I am doing much better,” the musician wrote, adding a heart emoji.
The musician’s wife, socialite Kourtney Kardashian, also shared a statement about her husband’s health difficulties on social media. “Travis and I had a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”
The Blink-182 drummer was rushed to hospital on Tuesday (28). He even made a post on Twitter, asking: “God save me”. Hours after admission, Barker’s teenage daughter Alamba posted on TikTok: “Please say a prayer.”
