THE Kate Bush has officially broken three Guinness World Records following the recent resurgence of her success ‘Running Up That Hill».

The song – which features on Bush’s fifth album ‘Hounds Of Love’, released in 1985, reached No.1 in the UK singles chart in mid-month (June 17) when it was chosen as the soundtrack to the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things”.

On its original release 37 years ago, ‘Running Up That Hill…’ reached number 3 in the UK and later climbed the charts in 2012 when a revamped version of the song was used at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

Now, Guinness World Records has confirmed that Kate Bush has achieved the following titles in the UK: Oldest female artist to reach number 1, longest time for a song to reach number 1 on the official singles chart UK and the longest gap between two number 1 songs by the same singer.

Cher was previously the oldest female artist to top the UK singles chart with “Believe” in 1998, when she was 52. “Well done Kate,” Cher wrote on Twitter, commenting on the fact that Bush, at the age of 63, dethroned her.

“Records must be broken!” write down.
