Lately, we keep hearing about it body positivity, but at the same time, more and more we find something to be ashamed of our body. Now, let’s say they are fashionable hip dips.

And really, all this is a bit strange and at the same time contradictory. How on the one hand social networks want to send a message of positive acceptance for your body, but on the other hand they always find ways to remind you how not perfect@ you are.

So let’s demystify dip hips starting with the fact that everyone has them.

What exactly are hip dips?

Hip dips are simply side dips in the hips.

In Greek we mainly know them as the violin hips – so called because of their shape – and they are located on the side of the hips, just above your thighs.

They are like internal curves, which if they are sharp, essentially “separate” the foot, like broken curves. In others the phenomenon is more intense and in others less so.

These dents are due to genetic factors. They are related both to the size and width of the pelvis, as well as to the fat that is retained in the area of ​​the buttocks and thighs.

Essentially, these “dimples” are clearly a matter of anatomy and there is absolutely no reason to be ashamed of them.

If you still feel uncomfortable and don’t like them, there are ways to make them disappear. And when we say make them disappear, we don’t mean it literally. Because quite simply, they cannot disappear.

But you can make them look less intense.

The way

One of the ways to somewhat reduce hip dips is to exercise the area.

By choosing the right exercises for the hips, you will strengthen the muscles in this area and burn fat as well.

However, at this point we should mention that hip dips are visible even in people who exercise a lot. So don’t get your hopes up that your hip dips will magically disappear.

So the exercises you should focus on are mainly sitting exercises, bridges and projections, but to the side.

At the same time, proper hydration and a healthy diet are positive things you can do to get rid of excess fat.

However, remember that we often do body shaming to ourselves. Therefore, accept your body with its imperfections and love it.
