Prince George steals the show as he escorts Kate and William to Wimbledon

Prince George, 8, drew attention during the men’s Wimbledon final on Sunday (10). The heir to the British throne accompanied his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and watched the victory of Serbian Novak Djokovic, 35, from the stands.

This was George’s debut at the event. The audience loved the young man’s presence and applauded when he appeared. Asked about the absence of Louis and Charlotte, George’s younger brothers, Kate said she was petting her firstborn. “It’s George’s pamper day,” she said.

For his part, the boy didn’t seem so excited about the cuddle. He was clicking and grimacing for a few moments. He didn’t show himself to be much of a tennis fan either, as at one point he even pretended to be sleeping on his father’s shoulder during the match.

Wearing a blue suit, shirt and tie in the middle of European summer, the boy was matching his parents. Kate, responsible for delivering the cup to the champion, chose a polka dot dress, while William wore blue pants and a sand-colored blazer.

Djokovic beat Australian Nick Kyrgios 3 sets to 1. With that, he reached his seventh victory in the tournament. With that, he has 21 grand slam titles, behind only the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, with 22.
