Presenter José Luiz Datena, 65, announced on his Instagram that he was admitted this Saturday (9) at the Sírio Libanês hospital in São Paulo. This Sunday came the diagnosis of Covid-19.
“Admitted yesterday, diagnosed today with Covid-19 in the [hospital] Syrian Lebanese. Best hospital in Brazil, best doctors; among them my brothers Kalil and David. Too bad the Brazilian people don’t have access to this type of health,” Datena wrote in Instagram stories.
“But here I want to give my personal statement: Even with four doses of vaccine and always wearing a mask, I didn’t escape the disease. Don’t play with it! Wear a mask and get vaccinated!!!”, continued the presenter.
Datena also took the opportunity to thank the hospital staff. “I would also like to thank all nurses and nurses for their love and attention,” she wrote.
WITHDRAWAL OF THE ELECTORAL RACE
On June 30, Datena announced that she had given up running for the Senate in São Paulo. He would dispute the seat on the ticket of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), supporter of Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
The presenter was considered a favorite in the fight for the position. Datena presented her program, Brasil Urgente, on TV Bandeirantes that day, which makes it impossible for her to participate in the election.
