Those who really want to delve into the luxurious and hectic lifestyle depicted in the movie “House of Gucci” have the opportunity to make their wish come true, as the villa in which everything takes place is now available for rent via Airbnb.
Villa Balbiano is the mansion of the patriarch of the Gucci family, Aldo Gucci, played by Al Pacino, and is located on the idyllic Lake Como in northern Italy.
It was built in the 16th century in the village of Osucio on the west bank of the lake by Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, who lived there and was inhabited a century later by Cardinal Angelo Maria Dourini.
Today, it remains one of the largest residences on Lake Como, with two indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, a boat shed and a private pier. With six bedrooms and six bathrooms, the villa is decorated with rare works of art from Christie’s and Sotheby’s, while 17th-century frescoes by brothers Retsi and Agostino Silva adorn the walls.
Villa Balbiano is available for booking on December 6 but for an overnight stay of two on March 30, 2022, at a cost of $ 1,128.
