Anitta criticizes Melody and singers exchange barbs on social networks

The singers Anitta and Melody returned to exchange barbs this weekend. The two have already had several disagreements over the last few years and, this time, the trigger for the discussion was an answer that Anitta gave to a follower on a social network that criticized her position as ‘anti-PT’, using as an argument the fact that the president Jair Bolsonaro shared a publication in which the singer asks the PT not to use her image in campaigns.

Anitta then replied saying: “No no my love… it’s called speak well or speak badly, but talk about me. Don’t see Melody, you only speak ill of her, nothing she does is really serious and professional …but she gets great engagement and stays in the market for bickering with my boyfriend, fighting alone.”

Confusion was created. Melody soon tried to counter the singer on her social networks, saying that “Girl From Rio” does not take her “name out of her mouth”.

“Guys, Anitta is saying that I don’t stop picking fights with her, but who’s saying my name? Nobody’s talking about Anitta. Who’s talking about Melody here is she, understand? name is her, who doesn’t take my name out of her mouth is her”, fired the young woman.

In her publication, Melody showed prints of Anitta’s post and continued:

“Wherever she goes, she talks about me. On the podcast, on the television show, on direct Twitter, she copies my car and then I’m the one who makes a fuss with her. She talks about me, I answer and then people think that I’m the one who makes the fight, funny. But like, I never speak ill of her and she said that my work is not professional. What do you mean it’s not professional? Who is in Top 1 Brazil now? She was in Top 1 Global , but where’s her music? It’s off the map. That was a lot of money invested. So look, my job doesn’t have that of adding money like that, it’s all natural. If I wasn’t a professional, I wouldn’t be in the first place.”

The blonde also mentioned three of her songs that were successful recently and sends a message directly to Anitta.

“Woman, instead of standing there saying that my work is not professional, take my music as an example. Make a better song than mine and hit Top 1 just like me”.

Shortly thereafter, Anitta returned to Twitter and countered Melody’s comment using as a reference the song ‘Assalto Perigoso’, a song that was successful in the blonde’s voice and is a version of the hit ‘Positions’ by American singer Ariana Grande.

“I know the composers of the song you hit Top 1, sis. I don’t think you know them, because the song is by Ariana Grande in this case, right. But don’t worry I wouldn’t show it to them if not… now does a falsetto singing Lula’s name just for the sake of toys for us and then you become news”

And of course, the fight didn’t stop there. Melody responded directly to Anitta’s Twitter post in a sharp manner. Among other things, the blonde claims that the owner of the hit ‘Envolver’ “is nervous because organically it is difficult to reach the top”. Then, she calls Anitta a “lady of almost 40 years” and says that “it is ugly to put a 15-year-old teenager in a discussion of a political nature to engage”. Anitta, in fact, is only 29 years old.

Melody continued criticizing the singer in a sequence of 8 posts.

Finally, Melody also published a video of a band playing a song with a melody similar to that of ‘Vai Malandra’, one of the biggest hits of the carioca, and insinuated the existence of a possible plagiarism.

The discussion between the two singers made the names of both appear among the most talked about topics on social networks this Sunday (17).
