The 58-year-old LA Confidential actor has been constantly tweeting photos from Italy for the past week, showing off his family like any proud parent would.
The Australian actor Russell Crowe is on vacation with his family, and he had the opportunity to joke, visiting the location of his most iconic film.
Let’s not forget that Crowe played Romeo Maximus Decimus Meridius“commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and faithful servant of the ‘true emperor’ Marcus Aurelius”.
Crowe doesn’t seem to forget the historical film Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott in 2000, so when he took his family on vacation to Italy, he naturally visited the legendary Colosseum in Rome.
He then took a picture of his children just outside the gates of the Colosseum and posted it on his Twitter account, with the caption “my children going to see my old office”.

Of course, Russell Crowe was joking by mentioning that the Colosseum “it was his old office”, because although his character in Gladiator of course dueled at the historic monument in the Oscar-winning film, the actual Colosseum was not used as a filming location…
