The project is humorously described as “the story of a British pop star, growing up and still struggling to be in the spirit of the times around 17 years after his instant stardom”.
The documentary, directed by Chris Atkin, will delve into the life of Blunt, who witnessed genocide in the Kosovo war as a British Army soldier and on his return home recorded ‘Back to Bedlam’, the album by biggest seller of the 2000s in the UK.
The film also chronicles how Blunt received backlash after his success and how he returned as a commentator on social media.
Blunt, who has 2.2 million Twitter followers, often responds to online trolls with slyly self-deprecating remarks about his career.
