Grants totaling 520,000 euros are announced by Ministry of Culture and Sports following an invitation through the Ministry of Culture’s Register of Cultural Bodies, on May 3, 2022, for grant and/or sponsorship of actions of Museums and Collections of Newer Culture for the year 2022. In the context of the Ministry of Culture’s call for interest, 43 requests were submitted by registered bodies in the Registry of Cultural Bodies.
The Working Group consisting of:
1. Irini Loutzakis, Social Anthropologist, retired Professor of the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens,
2. Iakovos Michaelidis, Professor of Modern and Modern History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
3. Andromachi Gazi, Associate Professor of Museology at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University,
4. Yannis Karachristos, Principal Researcher of the Greek Folklore Research Center of the Academy of Athens,
5. Stavroula Fotopoulou, Director of Newer Cultural Heritage,
examined the proposals of the institutions, after taking into account all the information that the institutions had submitted on time in accordance with the criteria of the call, and unanimously reached the positive evaluation of 36 proposals. All of these proposals were positively evaluated to receive a grant and additional patronage from the Ministry of the Environment.
