Thalía, 50, surprised fans by wearing, after 28 years, the original dress of the protagonist of the Mexican soap opera “Marimar”, available on Globoplay. On Instagram, she posted photos dressed in the piece and recorded a video showing the entire process she went through to transform into the character.
“I have a base that is totally messy hair. I have to tan too. I was always very tanned. On the body I used olive oil with a lot of coffee pigments”, explained the actress while characterizing herself as the character.
Thalía also wrote a text on Instagram talking about the importance of the character for her career. “In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined that this character would be a part of me during my lifetime,” said the actress. “A real part of me is always embedded in every scene we shoot,” added Thalía.
The artist also talked about how it felt to go back to dressing as the character more than 20 years later. She was grateful for the opportunity to be able to share this with fans. “It made me cry with joy and remember an avalanche of unforgettable moments.”
The actress’ fans thanked her for remembering the character. “Now you made us cry, but with happiness, with nostalgia, what beautiful moments in 1994 when we saw Marimar on TV”, commented a follower of Thalía.
