The sweet moments between father and daughter did not go unnoticed by royal fans who praised their genuine bond
Prince William, as the Daily Mail reports, was the picture of paternal pride as he took his daughter, Princess Charlotte, to the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday, August 2.
The Duke of Cambridge kept his daughter out of his sight as they watched the swimming and hockey matches with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
Charlotte was on her best behavior as she accompanied her parents on her first royal engagement, without her brothers George and Louis.
The little princess shook hands with dignitaries, smiled for photos and applauded the athletes, all under the watchful eye of her parents.
And when the little one started to get tired and a little restless, her loving father, William, was there to reassure her with hugs and small acts of affection, like tucking her hair behind her ears.
The sweet moments between father and daughter did not go unnoticed by royal fans who praised their genuine bond.
One tweeted: ‘He’s a great dad’, while another wrote: ‘Love this natural dad-daughter interaction. Sweet Charlotte loves her daddy William.”
A real highlight was going behind the scenes with @TeamSportsAid and @TeamEngland Futures where the next generation of athletes and support staff are helped to perform at their best, handle pressure and make the most of their experience at major Games. pic.twitter.com/YUKivJeEkI

The Duke was captured tenderly brushing a lock of his daughter’s hair away from her face while talking to another girl. Another image shows William hugging his daughter as Kate Middleton’s mother engages in a conversation.
Charlotte wore a £44 Rachel Riley striped dress.
