THE 19 year old cutlery maker Tristan Dare has already made a name for himself: for five years he has been making knives that are true works of art and often incorporates old materials into his knives. His latest work, called “Nebula”, was created by one of them older meteoriteswhich are estimated to be 4.5 billion years old.

In a video posted last year on his YouTube channel, Dare shows how he takes a meteorite and carefully crafts it into a knife blade. His interest in working with his hands started at an early age; he started carpentry at the age of 11, inspired by his grandfather who was an enthusiastic carpenter. After several years in this craft and entering competitions, he started making his own tools and tools. Then his adventure in metal began.

Being self-taught, he immersed himself in the world of knife blade making, constantly searching for new materials. He often uses meteorites which give a special touch to his blades and for the handles he likes to use prehistoric materials such as mammoth tusks or rare woods.
