The English Star Wars actor is among the names rumored to be being considered for the role after 2021’s No Time To Die, the latter of which starred the iconic spy 007 Daniel Craig. Other actors rumored to be in the running are Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Jamie Dornan.
In a new interview with the American magazine Men’s Health, 30-year-old John Boyega confirmed his interest in the role without clarifying whether he has been approached by the producers of the film series. “But you know if they call me, I’ll be there,” he joked.
Elsewhere in the interview he responded to rumors that he is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I want to do different things… I want to offer my services to original independent films that come with new, fresh ideas, because I know that it’s really difficult to get Iron Man in this universe,” he said, rather denying the rumors.
