Gloria Perez celebrates Daniella Perez’s birthday: ‘Every day is yours’

Gloria Perez, 73, used social media this Thursday (11) to remember her daughter, Daniella Perez. The actress would have turned 52 if she hadn’t been murdered in 1992.

“It’s your day, in a life — mine —, in which every day is yours”, wrote the author of soap operas for Globo. She also posted a video with a series of images of her daughter at different ages, from childhood to adulthood.

The story returned to the conversation this year with the release of the documentary “Brutal Pact” by HBO Max. The production was even praised by the Globo author for the way she portrayed her daughter.

“This year, the documentary Pact Brutal gave you back your identity, took you out of the realm of fiction and rescued the real person, the sweet, affectionate person, in their world of delicacy torn apart by the ambition and envy of a couple of psychopaths,” wrote Gloria. .

Daniella Perez’s murder completed 30 years in 2022. The actress’s body, at the time on the rise at Globo, was found in a thicket in Barra da Tijuca (west zone of Rio), on the night of December 28, 1992, with 18 perforations, mostly in the heart region.

A witness’ account led the police to Guilherme de Pádua, the victim’s co-star, and his wife, Paula Thomaz. Each of the two was convicted of qualified murder and sentenced to almost 20 years in prison, after the popular jury accepted the prosecution’s thesis that the couple premeditated the crime —Paula Thomaz, out of jealousy of her husband; Guilherme de Pádua, out of revenge against the author of the novel, since her role in the plot had been reduced.

The two have different versions. Paula Thomaz denies that she participated. Guilherme de Pádua, who in statements to the police took the blame, later went on to support the thesis that his then wife, taken by jealousy over the relationship between the two partners in the scene, is the one who would have grappled with Daniella Perez in the woods.
