The well-known German director passed away last Friday at the age of 81 Wolfgang Petersen. Petersen died of pancreatic cancer at his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

He directed films with huge box office success, including Second Chance (1993), AIR FORCE ONE (1997), The Perfect Storm (2000) and Troy (2004).
