Anne Heche’s Memoirs “Call Me Crazy”have piqued the interest of thousands of readers around the world, causing their price to skyrocket, according to ET.

The book – published by the Scribner publishing house on September 4, 2001 – after her untimely death is being sold, among others, as a “collectible” by a well-known online shopping platform with a price ranging from 739 up to 949 dollars. When it was first released, it was priced at $26.

Describing it as “the other side”, the actress describes her struggle to overcome a very difficult and abusive childhood, her success in the entertainment world and her much-lauded relationship with Ellen DeGeneres.

In an interview on the ‘Behind the Velvet Rope’ podcast, Hess had revealed that she is writing a new book called ‘Call Me Sane’ which would be a follow-up to her first and would chronicle her journey to overcome trauma and abuse , while helping others to do the same.

“You think: ‘how can I recover myself and at the same time help others with some steps and practices, it will happen faster, with less pain and support well? Who can answer you related questions?'” said the actress .

Ann Hess died at the age of 53 a week after a serious car accident that crashed into a house in California. Her family decided to turn off mechanical support when she was declared brain dead by doctors on August 12.
