The 57-year-old model was forced to go into hiding after a cryolipolysis treatment six years ago left her disfigured
THE Linda Evangelista returned to modeling after spending years out of the limelight following plastic surgery that left her disfigured.
The 57-year-old model was forced into hiding as the cryolipolysis treatment she had six years ago left her disfigured.
The well-known model appeared on the cover of British “Vogue” and stated that she has not yet recovered from the ordeal, as she posed with her face held together by tape and rubber.
“Am I mentally healed? Absolutely, no. However, I am so grateful for the support I got from my friends and my workplace. You’re not going to see me in a bathing suit, that’s for sure. It’s going to be hard to get jobs with things sticking out of me, without retouching, without squeezing into things, without taping parts of me,” she said in her interview.
Appearing on the magazine’s cover, Linda Evangelista said she doesn’t mind her face being altered in the photos because “they’re here to create fantasies.”
“That’s not my jaw and neck in real life and I can’t walk around with tape and rubber bands all over it,” she admitted.
“You know something, I try to love myself the way I am. For photos I always think that we are here to create fantasies. We create dreams. I think this is allowed,” she added.
In September, Linda filed a lawsuit, suing CoolSculpting’s parent company, Zeltiq Aesthetic Inc, for $50 million in damages.
He claimed he had been unable to work since undergoing seven treatments between August 2015 and February 2016.
