“The Outlaws” star Charles Babalola will play the leader of the Zulu, Saka, produced and directed by him Antoine Foucault on behalf of the Showtime television network, according to an exclusive report by Deadline.
Based on the true story of the founder of the Zulu empire, it tells the story of his stigmatized childhood to his unlikely rise to power, uniting dozens of tribes in the early 19th century.

According to Deadline, the role of the king’s devoted mother will be played by Aisha Maiga, who will sacrifice everything to fulfill her son’s destiny. Also starring Thando Dlomo, Thapelo Mokoena, Warren Masemola.
“This extraordinary cast is, quite literally, a ‘dream team,'” said series creators and executive producers Olumide Odebunmi and Tolu Awosika.
Notably, more than 300 locals have been hired as extras, technicians and production assistants for the needs of the filming.
