The British band Iron Maiden hired in Brazil the same jet used recently by the candidate for president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to fulfill his campaign agenda of visits across the country. The band will use the aircraft for travel on the “Legacy of the Beast World” tour, according to the website Aeroin.
A video of the group disembarking from a huge and luxurious executive jet at Afonso Pena airport, in São José dos Pinhais (PR), was published on Saturday (27) on the “Plane Spotter HD Curitiba” channel on YouTube.
The aircraft, manufactured by Bombardier, was registered under the registration PR-VDR. The Bombardier DB-700-1A10 model, also known by the name Global Express, is operated by the company Air Jet Táxi Aéreo and is valued at US$ 60 million (about R$ 300 million).
The jet has dimensions similar to Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets planes, measuring 30.3 meters in length and 28.7 meters in wingspan. The model can also fly from São Paulo to any European country without a stopover.
Iron Maiden played their first show in Brazil on Saturday, in Curitiba. The other three presentations will be in Ribeirão Preto (SP) on August 30th, at Rock In Rio on September 2nd and in São Paulo on September 4th.
