Charlie Sheen has reached an out-of-court settlement with his ex-partner, who accused him of knowingly exposing her to HIV, according to TMZ. The actor reportedly paid $120,000.

The plaintiff, known only as Jane Doe, claimed in legal documents she filed in court in June 2017 that she met Shin in September 2015 and they began having sex shortly thereafter.

They allegedly used precautions at first, but then, the plaintiff said, they stopped and had intercourse after the actor assured her that he did not have any sexually transmitted diseases.

However, he then confessed to her that he was HIV positive – something he had known since 2011 – and allegedly gave her pills to protect her from the virus.

This case is not the first the actor has faced as in 2016 it was revealed that Sheen had knowingly exposed at least 25 of his sexual partners to the HIV virus after not informing them that he was a carrier of the virus. Attempting to defend his actions, he then claimed that he had not had unprotected sex during the encounters in question.
