“They literally killed me. They threw me away,” Spears said of her family
Britney Spears continues to speak openly about the time her father had custody of her and share what she experienced during that time.
In the recent roughly 22-minute video that she posted on YouTube and then made private so that not everyone could access it, she confirmed, among other things, her previous claim that she was forced into a mental health facility in early 2019 for refusing a dance move at a from her rehearsals.
She then described how difficult her life was because of being chased by the paparazzi. “Just before my exams, I was locked in my garage because there were even paparazzi helicopters trying to take a picture of me.”
Then, referring to her father, she said that every day he told her ‘that she is fat and that she should go to the gym’, revealing that the abuse takes many forms.
“They literally killed me. They threw me away,” Spears describes. “I felt like my family abandoned me. I played for thousands of people every night in Vegas, I had the thrill of the performer, the laughter, the respect… I was a machine. I was a good machine, hardly even human. It was crazy,” he added.
