Actor Nicolas Cage, 58, and wife Riko Shibata, 27, celebrated the arrival of their first baby together, daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage, on Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to People.
“Nicolas and Riko are happy to announce the birth of their daughter. Mother and daughter are doing well,” a representative for the couple exclusively told the publication. So far, no pictures of the newborn have been released.
The girl is the first child for Riko and the third for Cage, who is the father of Kal-El, 16, and Weston, 31, from previous relationships. “My boys are all grown up and I miss going to the toy store. I miss singing lullabies and rocking in the rocking chair,” Cage told People in April of this year.
Shibata’s pregnancy was confirmed in January of this year with a representative for the couple who stated that the future parents were very happy. The following month, they were married in an intimate ceremony at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, in honor of her late father’s birthday.
Prior to Shibata, the actor was married to Patricia Arquette (1995-2001), Lisa Marie Presley (2002-2004), Alice Kim (2004-2016) and Erika Kookie -the wedding took place in 2019 and only lasted four days.
