Britney Spears on her kids: ‘I feel like a part of me has died’

by

Britney Spears, 40, published a series of audios on her Instagram account in which she comments on her relationship with her children, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. In them, the singer tells how she has been feeling with the separation of the two, who are raised by their father, Kevin Federline, 44.

“I literally have no more purpose,” he says. “They were my happiness, my everything. I longed to see them. That’s what I lived for. Suddenly, they were gone.”

She regretted the fact that she was able to spend so little time with the young people. “People don’t remember because they always focus on the negative, but when they were 6-9 years old, I was with them 70% of the time,” she recalled. “I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them to cut me out of their lives like that.”

In another audio, Britney complains about how her children have behaved with her. Recently, Federline said in an interview that the boys were ashamed of the things she posted on Instagram. Afterwards, Jayden gave an interview to the Australian version of the show 60 Minutes talking about the “difficult” relationship with his mother.

“Now my kids keep saying, ‘She’s not good enough, she wants attention.’ Yes, I want to be heard and I’m angry,” he said. “Somewhat subconsciously I want to offend people because I’ve been offended so much. But I’m afraid to inform you [os filhos] that I’m not willing to see them until I feel valued.”

She also shared that she was blocked by her children and admitted that she should have valued herself more in the relationship with the two. “I paid you so much attention it was pathetic.”

Britney says she hasn’t seen Sean and Jayden in about 6 months, even though under the custody agreement with her ex-husband, she is entitled to spend 30% of the time with them. In August, Federline shared a video of the singer fighting with the boys.

However, part of the public sided with the mother, who would only be educating her children. “There is being rude and there is being hateful,” she wrote in a post at the time. “They would visit me, come in through the door, go straight to the bedroom and lock the door.”
