Triumphant re-election of Thodoris Hamakos to the UWW

by

Thodoris Hamakos remains the president of the World Wrestling Federation. The former president of ELOP and vice-president of the World Federation in the elections held on Friday (9/9) was re-elected… ceremoniously capitalizing on his many years of contribution to the sport.

The highest recognition came ceremoniously and Thodoris Hamakos proved that Greek sports can also play a leading role at an administrative level.

The vice-president of the World Federation collected a total of 82 votes, just one less than Daniel Igali who got the most. Universal recognition in the person of the UWW vice-president amply proves that hard work, will and love for the sport are rewarded.

The vice-president of the World Federation, whose contribution is decisive for Greece to undertake major international events, will continue his work for the next six years.

“My re-election for another six years and for the 5th time in a row in an even higher position than the assembly of representatives, is recognition of Greece’s contribution to the world of sports,” Thodoris Hamakos said on the official website of the Greek Wrestling Federation.

The ELOP Board of Directors and the Palis family wish the UWW vice president warm congratulations and a new productive term.
