He was also honored with the Award of the Union of Playwrights and Critics for his entire contribution.
In the elections of September 2007 and October 2009, he was elected MP with the KKE, as head of the State ballot.
From 1968 to 1992 he was married to actress Jeni Karezis, with whom he had a son, also actor Konstantinos Kazakos (b. 1969).
From 1997 until today he was married to the actress Jenny Kollia, with whom they have four children: Alexander (b. 1997), Artemi-Georgia (b. 1998), Electra (b. 2002) and Maya ( born 2008).
Artemis-Georgia died on June 25, 1999, aged 8 months and one week after her baptism, suffering from a rare disease.
