“Smart glasses” that detect driver fatigue and a system for continuous measurement of alcohol levels through a wristband are presented by the Institute of Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks of the National Center for Research and Technological Development (IMET/EKETA) at its stand at the 86th TIF.
The IMET/EKETA stand was visited by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Kostas Karamanlis, as well as the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, together with the ambassador of the United States of America, George Tsounis, who was impressed by the “smart glasses and the wristband.
These systems have been developed within the framework of the PANACEA research project, using American equipment and Greek software.
Mr. Tsounis stated that this innovation is an excellent example of a partnership between entities of the two areas and demonstrates the intelligence of Greek engineers.
IMET/EKETA also presents an intelligent Real Time traffic management system in the urban complex of Thessaloniki, as well as the SUSTOURISMO application: Promoting sustainable mobility and sustainable choices for tourists.
