Gisele Bündchen on Tom Brady: ‘I wish he was more present’

Once again, Gisele Bündchen, 42, squashes rumors that her marriage to Tom Brady, 45, is at an end. In an interview with Elle magazine, she said that she did everything to make her husband’s dreams come true, but expressed that she wished he had already retired from football games.

“I did my part, which is to be there for [Brady]. I moved to Boston and focused on creating a loving environment for my kids to grow up and being there supporting them in their dreams,” she explained, citing Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9.

“Obviously I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my kids and I would like him to be more present,” added the Brazilian about Brady’s decision to return to the NFL. This reason has been pointed out as the main reason for a possible withdrawal from marriage.

“I definitely had these conversations with him several times. [sobre a aposentadoria]. But at the end of the day, I feel like everyone needs to make a decision that works for them. He also needs to follow his joy,” he said.

In a recent publication on Twitter, Gisele had already shooed away these rumors of termination by giving strength to the player in one of the matches she would play. “Come on Tom Brady! Come on Bucs!” he wrote.

Now, however, she says that she also thinks about fulfilling her own desires after giving up part of her career for her family. “I have a huge list of things I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected to my purpose,” she added.
