Ex-pawn Shayene Cesário is robbed on her way to the IML to release the body of her murdered husband

Participating in ‘A Fazenda 5’, Shayene Cesário ended up being robbed this Monday (26) while on her way to the Legal Medical Institute (IML), in downtown Rio de Janeiro, to release her husband’s body, Wilson Vieira Alves. The former president of Unidos de Vila Isabel was murdered the night before at a gas station in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio.

The influencer and muse of the Portela samba school, Shayene was accompanied by her mother, Ana Lúcia Cesário, when the robbery took place. The two were victims of a trawler on an expressway. “It was all very fast. They took other cars and came stealing everything. The windows were open and they took everything from my daughter,” Ana Lúcia told the Extra newspaper.

Wilson Vieira Alves, better known as Moisés, was with Shayene and the couple’s daughter in a car. The trio was on their way to a rehearsal on the block of Portela, in the traditional Rio neighborhood of Madureira, but he stopped at a gas station close to home to buy medicine at a pharmacy. As he got out of the car, two men on a motorcycle shot him and fled, taking nothing. The Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC) is already investigating the crime.

Moisés was president of Unidos da Vila Isabel between 2006 and 2011. The association mourned the death of the former leader in a note and highlighted his importance in winning the 2006 Carnival with the theme “Soy loco por ti, América: A Vila canta a Latinity”. In 2010, he was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the crimes of smuggling, conspiracy and active corruption, after an investigation that accused him of controlling slot machines in Niterói and São Gonçalo. He left jail the following year, thanks to a habeas corpus.
