Singer Daniela Mercury said that former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is the most prepared candidate to lead Brazil. The statement was made behind the scenes of the festive event promoted by the PT campaign this Monday (26), in São Paulo.
“I believe that Lula is the best candidate we really have. He has more experience, the ability to resolve issues, he has already brought many jobs to Brazil and has shown that he can do what he says. We have already tested him as president”, said Mercury.
Mercury believes that the artists can get the ballot in favor of Lula on the eve of the first round of the presidential elections. According to her, each artist has their credibility, history and trajectory that can help attract votes for Lula.
“I have been a social activist for over 30 years and the credibility of each artist is what will make us be heard because people need these dialogues from society”, he said. “I am civil society, I am here for the good of our country, of my people, there is no other reason.”
The singer also admitted that she fears a possible coup in Brazil. She even defended that all people accompany the diplomacy of the new president so that on the way he [sem citar o nomes] don’t try to imitate the United States either.
“It is a very important vote for democracy, I think everyone is repeating it because it is really very important.
