Carlinhos Maia loses followers for voting for Lula, and Yudi for liking Bolsonaro

The life of influencers has not been easy. Many of them who decided to position themselves in favor of one or another candidate say that they have now lost followers on social networks.

Comedian Carlinhos Maia, 31, declared that he would vote for Lula (PT) a few days before the people went to the polls. Now, with a run-off between PT and the current president, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), he says he has seen a stampede of fans. It currently has 25.9 million followers.

“200,000 people unfollowed me. I’m sad, but relieved at the same time. Let those who like me beyond my political opinion stay,” he said on Twitter.

A similar case happened with Yudi Tamashiro, 30. He had shared with his followers that his vote would go to Bolsonaro. After the election, the singer and dancer returned to the same social network to reveal that he had received hateful messages and lost 100,000. “It doesn’t stop falling and I knew this would happen. I know my values”, he vented.

Yudi received support from famous Bolsonaristas such as Patricia Abravanel, Alessandra Scatena and Karina Bacchi. The first lady herself, Michelle Bolsonaro, reposted the singer’s video and praised him. “Be strong and courageous, my brother in Christ.” After the demonstrations, Yudi had already gained over 400,000 followers.

Presenter and businesswoman Bianca Andrade, 27, also known as Boca Rosa, was another person who complained of losing 100,000 fans on Instagram since the announcement of her support for presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the 2022 elections. “You can go! Good thing I’m having a party of 18 million again, but this time with empathetic and quality people who defend the same causes as me”.
