Fans of the classic trilogy “Back to the Future” (1985-1990) were thrilled to see the reunion between Michael J. Fox, 61, and Christopher Lloyd, 83. The protagonists of the plot hugged each other last Saturday (8), during New York Comic Con.
The video of the moment went viral on the networks and made many fans homesick. “I watched all three movies at the cinema,” wrote one netizen. “I’m not the one crying, you are,” joked another. “Lots of love wrapped up in those 13 seconds,” said a third.
Fox played Marty McFly and Lloyd played Dr. Emmett Brown, nicknamed Doc Brown. During the event, they commented on key moments of the plot. Lloyd also revealed that Fox was not the first actor chosen to play the young man who travels through time with a modified car.
“They hired him to replace Erik Stoltz, who was chosen to be the lead, and from the moment I met him I knew it would be forever. I felt immediate chemistry,” he said. Fox also commented on Parkinson’s disease, which he discovered in the year 1990.
“People like Chris were and are with me. It’s not about what I have, but what I was given: a voice to talk about Parkinson’s and help a lot of people”, added the artist, who also thanked the support of family and friends.
