Bruce Springsteen released second single ‘Nightshift’ from brand new album ‘Only the Strong Survive’.

It is an adaptation of it “Night shift” of the Commodores. Written by singer Walter Orange in collaboration with Dennis Lambert and Fran Gold, as a tribute to soul/R&B singers Jackie Wilson and Marvin Gaye, who died in 1984. The song was released as the first single from their self-titled album in January 1985 by Motown Records.

“I wanted to create an album where I just sing. And what could be better than singing classic American songs from the 60s and 70s? …My goal is for younger audiences to experience the beauty and joy of the album, as I did when I listened to it in its entirety,” explained the beloved singer. According to Pitchfork, the album ‘Only The Strong Survive’ contains 15 of the biggest soul hits and will be released on November 11th.
