“I wish her all the best! But only those who really understand acting can see that… right!?”, wrote Maia. Picon debuted this week in the plot as Chiara, after weeks of controversy and comments on social networks about her not having an actress record.
The comment divided opinion on the internet. On the one hand, netizens agreed with Maia and even said that she should play the role of Chiara, who has been criticized for her carioca accent. “No hate on Jade, but I think Mel Maia would make a great Chiara and she already has a natural carioca accent”, said one. “Mel Maia playing Chiara was going to deliver everything!
