Now he is preparing to make his directorial debut on the Netflix platform with the film Good Grief.

In Good Grief Dan Levy explores a different side of grief

The protagonist of the story is Marc Dreyfus. When Marc suddenly loses his mother, he decides to forget himself by entering into a marriage very unsuitable for him. It is a hasty decision but it makes him feel better temporarily.

However, when his husband suddenly dies too, Marc must face a second loss.

So now she has to learn to deal with the grief she’s been trying to avoid for so long. Together with his two closest friends he takes a trip to Paris for a weekend to find himself again and realize everything that has happened.

The first names announced for Good Grief

It still remains unknown whether, in addition to scriptwriter and director, Dan Levy will also take on the leading role of the film. However, some other names that have been announced for the series include Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Luke Evans, Celia Imrie, Arnaud Valois, David Bradley, and Jamael Westman.

Levy himself in a recent statement after the announcement of the film said that Good Grief is a story of friendship but also of loss. It has to do with all the chaos that arises in our lives when we have to face the reality that we persistently avoid. For him it worked therapeutically to deal with his own grief.
