TV Globo writer Glória Perez, 74, became a topic on the web when she shared a favorable image for the Jovem Pan channel, in the early hours of this Friday (21). The artist published a photo, in her Stories, with a heart emoji and the station’s logo.
“Gloria Perez showing in her telenovela how fake news can destroy a life, and, at the same time, supporting those who share fake news”, wrote an internet user, recalling the plot of the telenovela “Travessia” (Globo) and the recent decisions of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) that determined the removal of content published by media outlets on the grounds that they were untrue.
The novelist’s publication was interpreted, on social media, as a declaration of support for the reelection of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the same candidate who would have had lunch in August with Guilherme de Pádua, convicted of the murder of Daniella Perez, the writer’s daughter. At the time, Juliana Lacerda, wife of the now pastor, denied that the couple is intimate with the president.
In a recent interview with F5, the writer stated that she does not intend to declare her vote. In September, the artist liked a post pro-Bolsonaro on Twitter, but denied that this is a way of supporting him. “I liked and will like any post that defends freedom of expression. Period. I’ve never declared a vote. Never, at any time. And I’ll keep it that way. It’s a principle of mine.”
The image of support for Jovem Pan was also shared by Zoe Martínez, a radio commentator, who earlier this week accused the TSE of pressuring the station with its recent decisions. She has already publicly declared her support for candidate Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the elections.
