Perlla says husband arrested for Federal Police operation will ‘prove his innocence’

Two days after the arrest of her husband, Patrick Abrahão, Perlla decided to comment on the case on social media. The singer shared a note issued by the musician and businessman’s lawyers alleging his innocence in the crimes investigated by the Federal Police against the national financial system, foreign exchange evasion, misrepresentation and money laundering. Patrick is also accused of usurpation of public property, environmental crime and embezzlement.

“With regard to the operation triggered by the Federal Revenue Service, the National Mining Agency and the Federal Police of the District of Campo Grande / MS, called La Casa de Papel, it should be clarified that Messrs. Patrick Abrahão Santos Silva and Ivonélio Abrahão da Silva vehemently deny the accusations and the delineation of the demand intend to demonstrate their innocence”, says the statement shared by the interpreter of “Tremendo Vacilão” and “Eu Vou”.

The Justice also determined the blockade in the amount of 20 million dollars (R$ 105.7 million, at the current exchange rate) and “kidnapping of money in bank accounts, very high standard real estate, cattle, vehicles, gold, jewelry, luxury items , emerald mine, speedboats and crypto assets in the possession of the investigated individuals and legal entities” in Operation La Casa de Papel.

In addition to the PF, the Federal Revenue and the National Mining Agency (ANM) also act against “a transnational financial pyramid scheme in more than 80 countries”. According to the investigation, the Trust Investing network, of which Patrick is appointed as one of the leaders, is responsible for the scheme that involves 1.3 million victims, with an estimated loss of R$ 4.1 billion.
