David Suzuki: The presenter of the series “The Nature of Things” retires

The world-renowned environmentalist, David Suzukiis retiring from CBC’s “The Nature of Things” after 43 years.

The 86-year-old science talk show host confirmed the news during an interview on ‘The National’.

“I’ve been fortunate to have been blessed with good health that has enabled me to continue hosting the show long past my ‘expiry date,'” said David Suzuki.

“Aging is a natural biological process that creates opportunities for fresher, more imaginative contributions from younger people, as for years, I have advised, to ensure the continuation of ‘The Nature of Things’ series we must prepare for the transition, when i leave This moment is now,” he added.

Suzuki, according to Variety, will return for the show’s 62nd season on January 6, 2023, before departing next spring.

For more than four decades, Suzuki has been educating Canadians and citizens around the world through the documentary-style program “The Nature of Things.” The series sheds light on the implications of human nature and the possibilities of science in an accessible way for viewers of all ages.
